Grand England v Scotland Fire Services International 2005

Scotland invaded Wellingborough to win back Trophy and transport it back to Bannock Burn

Taking two days & finishing 28shots in front to do it. Well Done to Scotland.

Final Scores    :-   Saturday  England  113   Scotland  145

                      :-   Sunday     England  114    Scotland  110

A 32 shot win for Scotland on the 1st day, left the English Fire & Rescue Services a huge task in the popular annual battle with their friends from over the border

The Scots were 20 shots behind after 5 ends on Sunday but fought back to only a 4 shot loss at the end of the 2nd day. This still left a 28 shot overall win, so the Trophy Goes back to Scotland. Well done to them for a great result.

David Brown represented Dennis Fire who has sponsored the event for the last 4 years.

He said he is looking forward to next years’ tournament in Scotland at Stirling.

The event was opened by the Worshipful the Mayor of Wellingborough John Bailey & Chief of Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue David Archer.
