1.1

The President Mr George opened the meeting. The minutes of the last meeting 25 January 2006 were accepted.

2.1

Dress Code

It was reiterated again that dress code for all International Competitions is :

Blazers

Trousers/Skirts (White for play, Grey for travel and for presentation)

Shirts (White)

Polo Shirt – Appropriate British Poloshirt

Ties (Preferably British)

BRITISH RINK FEES

The Treasurer informed the meeting that it was not a viable option for the British to continue to pay these.

It was agreed that the situation would be reviewed annually.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (DRAFT MINUTES) MATTERS ARISING  

3.1

FSSAA – NEW INSTRUMENT & RULES

These have been adopted nationally. It is not anticipated that there will be any changes to UK Bowls set up.

Malcolm George and Julie Black were elected to represent UK Bowls on the FSSAA National Assembly.

BRITISH TEAM SELECTION

Clarification given as to the process. Team Manager to liaise with 4 Countries Secretaries regarding availability and ability.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS  

4.1

The Secretary distributed role maps for Secretary, Treasurer and Team Manager so that we are aware of their specific responsibilities.

5.

TREASURERS REPORT  

5.1

The Treasurer took us through the balance sheet. Each country was reminded to send their section accounts to the UK Treasurer who would then forward them to the secretary.

The Secretary requires annual accounts and AGM minutes from each country to enable her to complete the Annual Grant Application to the FSSAA. Each country has been given a copy of 2006 Application and been asked for amendments/additions.

Please ensure that all section fixtures are listed (small or otherwise) so a robust application can be submitted.

It was confirmed that 4 nation badges would be paid for by the British Section.  

6.

BRITISH POLO SHIRTS

It was agreed to purchase 50 polo shirts (maroon). When selected for the UK Team, players would purchase a shirt. Cost £ 7 per shirt.

No names to be added to the shirts.

N.I. Section have requested a grant of £600 to assist with 4 nations.

It was confirmed that money would be available to N.I. Section if they were short.

CAPTAIN FOR UK GAMES  

8.1

UK Team Manager proposed that we should re-instate the practice of appointing a captain for UK games.

BRITISH COMMITTEE MEETINGS  

9.1

The British Committee Meeting usually held at the Police Outdoor game has fallen by the wayside.
