MATCH REPORT
On paper, not a bad team, however, what were conceived as 4 banker rinks 3 failed to produce on the day with two going down heavily. One of these following the loss of 5 shots at the halfway stage, when they were winning, never won another end!! Another was 13 shots down by the 6th end and just descended from there.
By contrast the weaker rinks. on paper, put in a magnificent performance and more than held their own - well done
In addition, unfortunately, one country was missing completely (due to a clash of dates) and several of our better players from all countries were missing.
Having said all that we could and should have won this match and with a little more positive thinking and perhaps a little more grit the result may have been a lot better!!!!
In the end we can only field players that put their names down I would encourage all sections to cajole their better players to play - we will be back and we will be triumphant.
